 | National Utility Locating Contractors Association (NULCA) Website: www.nulca.org The National Utility Locating Contractors Association (NULCA), formed in 1994, is an organization of locators, facility owners, One-Call centers, S.U.E. companies, excavators and industry suppliers that share a common interest in safety and damage prevention. The mission of NULCA is to define, establish, and maintain high standards and practices in the underground utility contract locating industry. Its top priority is the safety of the general public, excavators, and locating employees. NULCA seeks to accomplish its mission by partnering with facility owners, excavating contractors, suppliers & regulatory agencies and by taking a lead role in the elimination of underground facility damage.

Indiana Underground Plant Protection Service (IUPPS) Website: www.iupps.orgThe Underground Safety Alliance (USA) was incorporated in November 2005, as a not for profit umbrella organization for “Call Before You Dig” one call centers. The founding members were Kentucky Underground Protection Inc. (KUPI), now known as Kentucky811, and Indiana Underground Plant Protection Service Inc. (IUPPS). The Board of Directors is comprised of three members from the Boards of Directors of each of the participating states. The By-Laws and accounting structure were formed in such a way as to allow other one call organizations to join in the future. The purpose of our organization is to share as many resources as possible in order to operate in the most efficient manner. Additionally, it is the goal of USA to provide industry leading damage prevention and underground utility safety awareness programs. Acting collaboratively, the quality of efforts and the economies of scale, improve the overall performance of each member one call and improves public safety for the states involved.
