What Does Yellow Tape Mean?

September 23, 2021
yellow hazard tape with no dig symbol

The APWA (American Public Works Association) Uniform Color Code is widely used throughout the utility industry and designates yellow for gas, oil, steam, petroleum, or other gaseous materials.

In other industries above ground, this color is often used to get attention and communicate caution messages. Caution and barricade tapes are often available in few colors including yellow and red.

All of our tapes are available in all APWA colors and are always custom printed to order in full color.
