Are any of your products Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliant?

All of our Signaltape®, Tracetape® and Boretrace® products are BABA compliant. To learn more about BABA compliant configurations of our other products, please reach out to our Sales Team.

How can I integrate your products into my company's specifications?

Please contact us for detailed information and assistance with documentation to facilitate a specification that meets your company's needs. We are able to provide sample specification text and support to help with your company's adoption of our products.

How can I place an order?

What currencies are accepted for purchase orders?

Purchase orders are accepted in U.S. dollars (USD) only.

What is the minimum order quantity?

The minimum order quantity is 1,000 feet per individual SKU ordered.

Logistics

What is your lead time?

All of our products are made-to-order with a typical lead time of 3-4 weeks. However, lead times can vary based on the time of year and the size of the order. For the most accurate estimate, please call us at (434) 202-8710 or submit a Product Inquiry.

What are the shipping terms for domestic orders?

All domestic orders are shipped FOB (Free on Board), with ownership and responsibility transferring at the point of shipment.

What are the shipping terms for international orders?

All international orders are shipped Ex Works (EXW), with the buyer assuming responsibility for transportation and associated costs from our facility.

What are your shipping hours?

The shipping hours at our Production Facility located in Forest, Virginia are from 8 AM to 3 PM. For shipping questions regarding our Business Office in Charlottesville, Viriginia location please call (434) 202-8710.

How are your products packaged?

The following products come in DPS branded dispenser boxes:

The 3M™ Electronic Marking System (EMS) Warning Tape 7900 Series comes in a similar dispenser box.

Product

Are your tapes locatable/detectable?

Only our tapes which contain either tracer wire or radiofrequency (RF) path markers are locatable/detectable.

The following products always contain tracer wire: Tracetape® Detectable Marking Tape, Boretrace® Detectable Marking Tape
The following products are available with or without tracer wire: Signaltape® Underground Warning Tape and Channeltape™ Utility Identification Sleeve
The 3M™ Electronic Marking System (EMS) Warning Tape 7900 Series does not contain tracer wire but does contain RF path markers which are locatable/detectable.

How should I connect the tracer wire between two sections of detectable tape?

We recommend separating enough of the film layers to access the tracer wire, then joining it using the same method you would if the tape were not present, following the specifications provided by the engineer. For example, this may include using a direct-bury connector with strain relief.

How can I request a custom legend?

If you are interested in a custom legend, please fill out the Product Inquiry Form and let our Sales Team know that you would like a custom legend. After learning more about your project, we will be able to provide you with a digital mockup of your requested custom legend.
