[What does damage prevention mean to you?] To me, damage prevention means keeping us all as a community, flowing together. It’s keeping it safe. It’s keeping us all connected. Having that running water, that gas to keep your stove going, the Internet so you can watch the game. So, just keeping us all working and keeping us safe. Preventing injury.

[How do you collaborate with others to prevent damages?] So, I’m in a unique position working for a one-call center. So, I get to talk to excavators, locators, every utility sector on a daily basis, and I work and collaborate with their damage prevention managers that try to help protect their underground facilities and keep job sites going without having any idle iron.

[How have you seen the industry come together to improve damage prevention?] It goes back to that collaboration. So, from the previous question, just everyone’s willing to work together. We’re all part of the same industry and team, so even if it’s water, they still want to work with the gas side to make sure they don’t hit that gas line or vice versa.

[Complete this sentence: "Damage prevention is ..."] Safety.
