Boretrace® Detectable Marking Tape was developed to support our customers and industry's need for efficient marking of horizontal directionally drilled utilities. Boretrace® products feature an embedded PE jacketed tracer wire, high strength para-aramid fiber, and woven PE film to create a durable, detectable marker tape.
Earlier this year, we visited GTI's Testing Laboratory in Illinois to have this product line evaluated. At their facility, Boretrace® tape was pulled through three different soil types along with an HDPE pipe and (for control) a tracer wire.
