When creating the packaging for the 3M™ Electronic Marking System (EMS) Warning Tape 7900 Series, we were able to customize the unique box packaging with several convenient features.
Benefits of this box include:
- It simplifies installation. The box can be set down and allows the tape to be dispensed out of the side flap rather than having to carry and unspool over the open trench.
- Useful cutouts. In addition to the precut handles, there is a removable status viewer strip on the side that allows the user to see approximately how much of the warning tape is left.
- Hydroban coating. While not waterproof, a hydroban coating makes the box more resistant to wet conditions in the field than a regular cardboard box while still allowing it to be recycled.
